The smartphone is a true cultural phenomenon, whether it is an entirely positive one is debateable, with social media obsessed kids losing sleep and taking the opportunity to bully each other at all hours of the day.
   Girls are particularly vulnerable because their smartphone use at night is higher than other age groups and they start using social media at a younger age.

Service Learning Helps Shore Boys and the Community

The Service Learning program at Sydney’s Shore School plays a significant role in forming the characters and outlook of the boys who attend.
   Boys through their Houses (pastoral care group of 80 boys from Years 7 to 12) partner with two to three other Houses and align to one external charity or community group. Each term boys then share the responsibility of providing help, service, and assistance. Read more

Pedagogy Aligns with Design in New Primary Precinct

The Sunshine Coast is booming, as people discover life outside the capital cities is pretty good, they have been arriving in number, that means more kids and more infrastructure at Suncoast Christian College.
   Being at the epicentre of the boom SCC needed to rapidly accommodate new students, many of them young. Their new Primary Precinct is a large new wing of the College built over three stories.

AO Schools Tennis Challenge on Minecraft Education

The Australian Open’s AO Schools Block Buster Tennis Challenge, a collaboration with the Australian Esports League as part of its Minecraft Education Esports Programs in Schools, invites students to rebuild and reimagine the iconic Australian Open precinct within Minecraft Education.
   In addition to bringing the Australian Open to classrooms, students will have the chance to win an AO 2025 experience.
